1. Who we are
Wine Your Food ("we", "us", "the Platform") operates a marketplace connecting licensed wine sellers ("Merchants") with consumers ("you", "Customers") in Canada. We do not sell alcohol ourselves — every Merchant on the Platform is responsible for holding the provincial licenses required to sell and, where applicable, deliver alcohol.
2. Age requirement
You must meet the legal drinking age in your province to purchase wine through the Platform. We verify your age at signup and you confirm it again at checkout. Providing false information about your age is a breach of these Terms and may result in account suspension.
3. Orders and payment
When you place an order, you enter into a contract of sale directly with the Merchant, not with us. We process payment on the Merchant's behalf via Stripe and collect a platform commission from the Merchant's payout. Prices shown include applicable Canadian sales tax (GST/HST/PST) calculated based on the Merchant's province.
4. Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel an order while it is still pending. Once a Merchant confirms an order, cancellation is at the Merchant's discretion. Refunds are processed back to your original payment method through Stripe.
5. Account termination
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including age misrepresentation, fraud, or abuse of the Platform.
6. Liability
The Platform is provided "as is". We facilitate the connection between Merchants and Customers but are not a party to the underlying sale of alcohol, and are not liable for the quality, legality, or delivery of products sold by Merchants beyond our obligations as a payment facilitator.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
